Every time I drove through my town I saw this old bakery and at night it has a very nice look to it. The old worn look of this town is slowly dying out and I feel it won't last much longer. The town was known for its historic buildings but each year they take another one down, little by little this historic town gets ruined by the new look, of vinyl sidings, that is slowly seeping into its streets. I can only document what it once was and how it should stay but I know I can't make that big of a difference.
This is what I drive past almost every night and this is my favorite part of my hour long drive to and from home. I really wish I don't see a Starbucks replace it in five years. Does anyone have any historical places around where they live that might get torn down? I like to see some pics and stories =]

  1. I love that second pic. It's really got a nice.... almost ethereal beauty. I really don't know how to describe it other than... wow.

  2. You made a common bakery look almost like an antiquated religious site. Nice.

  3. I wouldn't call this your common bakery...I think the second picture looks like a movie setting of a thriller or something :)

  4. Beautiful pictures. I loved the first one. Quoting Klyde Dawson: "You made a common bakery look almost like an antiquated religious site."

  5. I'm emotionally attached to such buildings in my city. Unfortunately, only a few are left but people are doing their best to fix them. We must not let those buildings to be destroyed, they are part of our culture.
